With Magpie you can create different versions of descriptions of your products to distribute. To create a new version, click into a product edit screen on your product list, click on the Version drop down and select New Version.
In the pop up modal you can choose what type of version you are creating.
1. It's for a specific reseller
Choose this if you are creating a version if you want to create a version for a specific reseller where the content is different from your main description. You can map choose whether to map it to a connected extranet product or set it up as an unconnected version.
2. It's for specific dates
Choose this option if you are creating a version for future years or seasons.
3. It's in a different language
Choose this option if you are creating a version in a different language to your main version.
4. The product itself is slightly different
Choose this option if there is a difference in the way the product operates but you want to keep it within the main product. Most cases of this can be covered by creating an option in the pricing tab (i.e. Lunch included/not included) and we recommend using options instead of creating a new version.
Give the version a name, description, set start and end dates if applicable and select the resellers that the version is for.
At the top right of each field in your version, you will see a color indicator. If the indicator is green it means that the information in that filed is identical to the main version, if the indicator is yellow it means that the information in that field is different from the main version.
